Solar Panel Installation in San Antonio & South Texas

You want panels, and you want them designed for your roof rather than a catalogue.

We install grid-tied solar panels on homes and businesses throughout Cibolo, San Antonio, South Texas and the surrounding areas. Rooftop or ground-mounted, and off-grid and hybrid systems where they make sense. The goal is to get you to break-even as fast as the site allows.

Do you want a more reliable source of power? Are you tired of what the electric bill has been doing? Whatever the reason, the work is the same: measure the site properly, design for the site rather than the catalogue, and install it so that it produces what the design said it would.

Design is what decides the number

System design, shading management and equipment pairing are absolutely critical in solar energy production, and they are where most of the difference between two quotes actually lives. A larger system is not automatically a better one. We regularly see projects that will never pay for themselves because of poor design, where a smaller, properly designed system would have produced more energy and cost less to buy.

Based on your geographic location, and the tilt and orientation of the panels, annual production is genuinely predictable. So we predict it, we file that forecast with the utility supplying your rebate, and then we guarantee that number.

What you get from the consultation

You deserve more than a rough estimate of how your system might perform. When we meet you, here is what you leave knowing:

  • How much power your system will actually generate
  • What the system and its installation will cost
  • What the electricity it produces is worth
  • When you are predicted to break even
  • What to expect on installation day

How the job runs

  1. Free assessment

We look at your roof or your land, your orientation and your last twelve months of bills, and tell you what a system would actually produce.

  2. A design, and a number

You get the production forecast, the cost, the value of the power and the break-even. A bigger system is not automatically a better one.

  3. We handle the paperwork

Utility rebate application, city permit, inspection and the HOA submittal. This is the part customers write to us about afterwards.

  4. Install, inspect, switch on

Our own crew and our own master electrician. Then we monitor production against the figure we guaranteed.

Rooftop, ground mount, or neither

Most systems go on the roof, and most roofs are fine. Where the roof is the wrong age, the wrong direction or too shaded, a ground mount is usually the answer if there is land for it. And due to shading or architectural constraints, some properties are simply not good candidates for solar. We will tell you that before you have spent anything, rather than sell you a system that will disappoint you.

Whether you are looking at a house or a business, church or non-profit, the design process is the same and the guarantee is the same.

Who does the work

Our own crew, and our own master electrician. We are a licensed electrical contractor,TECL #27328. We carry workman's compensation insurance that is not required in Texas, and we warranty our installation for ten years, where the common figure locally is five because five is all CPS Energy requires.

Common questions

What is a Power Generation Guarantee?

Every contractor has to file a production forecast with the utility supplying your rebate. We guarantee that number. If your system does not produce the annual kWh logged on your rebate application over the three-year guarantee period, that is on us. Most warranties come from the equipment manufacturer and are set by industry standard, not by your contractor. This one is ours.

Will solar work if my roof is the wrong shape or too old?

Sometimes the roof is not the right place for panels, and that is what ground mounts are for. Shading and architecture can also make a property a poor candidate. We will tell you if that is the case, and we will tell you before you have spent anything.

Can you handle my HOA?

Yes, and we routinely do. Texas law restricts an HOA's ability to refuse a roof-mounted solar system, and the submittal is one of the approvals we prepare and file for you along with the utility rebate application, the city permit and the inspection.

Is financing available?

Yes. There are $0 down options, and we work with long-term and short-term plans through credit unions and banks, plus a one-year same-as-cash option in-house. The point of financing here is to let the system pay for itself while you own it.

Tell us about the property

Roof or land, home or business, and roughly what you pay CPS a month. That is enough for us to come back with something useful.
